วัตถุไทย (Thainess Objects) ไม่ใช่แค่สิ่งที่สวยงามล้ำค่าที่ปั้นแต่งขึ้นเพื่ออวดสายตาชาวโลกให้เข้ามาเที่ยวเมืองไทยเท่านั้น แต่มันคือสิ่งที่เราเป็น และใช้ชีวิตอยู่กับมันในทุกเมื่อเชื่อวัน ทั้งสิ่งสวยงาม น่าทึ่ง ประดักประเดิด ตลกขบขัน บางครั้งมันแสดงถึงรากเหง้าที่สะท้อนออกมาเป็นพฤติกรรมที่ดี-ไม่ดี สืบทอดกันมาหลายชั่วอายุคน หลายสิ่งหลอมรวมเข้ากับวัฒนธรรมต่างชาติหลากหลายจนกลายร่างเป็น ความเป็นไทยกลายพันธุ์ (Mutant Thainess) ที่มองเผินๆจะแยกแยะไม่ได้ว่ารากของมันมาจากที่ใด รวมทั้งยากที่จะวัดค่าได้ว่า "วัตถุไทย" ร่วมสมัยเหล่านี้ยังดีหรือเหมาะสมกับสังคมไทยทุกวันนี้หรือไม่

Thainess objects aren't just created for attraction of tourist, but they are what Thai people have been spending life with. Somethings are beautiful, amazing, or even amusing. Sometimes they significantly reflect good-bad behaviors of Thais which they've been doing for a long time. Those objects smoothly blend with multi-cultures and transform to something like "Mutant Thainess" which roughly they cannot be identified the roots and hardly be evaluated that these contemporary Thainess objects are suited/valuable for Thai society today or not.
